Silicone
material 03
Art. Code 08 = red brown silicone
Antistatic: very good
Mechanical capacity: very good, considerably better than silicone
material 02
Main use: all purpose, also suitable for UV pad printing
inks and half tone clichés.
Swelling behaviour: good
Suitable for storage: about one year (beyond = lesser hardness
i.e. the pad becomes softer)
Available in hardness (Shore-A):
1, 3, 6, 12, 18

Silicone
material 04
Art. Code 07 = light blue silicone
Antistatic: optimal, Hundred-fold less electrostatic charge than
silicone material 03.
Mechanical capacity: very good, equal to silicone material 03
Main use: universal
Swelling behaviour: good
Suitable for storage: about one year (beyond = lesser hardness
i.e. the pad becomes softer)
Available in hardness (Shore-A): 1, 3, 6, 12, 18
Note: most favourable silicone material with excellent
price-performance ratio!

Industrial manufacturing
according to binding quality standards at TAMPOPRINT AG.
The material properties of silicone rubber are very suitable
for the manufacturing of printing pads.
The special contrary material characteristics, namely the pick
up of the pad printing ink from the cliché and the subsequent
application onto the printing part can be attributed to the extraordinary
separation qualities.
Especially noteworthy are its separation qualities of the surface
against inorganic and organic materials, as well as its permanent
elasticity, its high moulding accuracy, as well as its chemical
resistance against light acid and alkaline.

Mechanical capacity: good
Main use: optical industry, easy to clean, finest printing
images with line graphics are transmittable
Swelling behaviour: very good
Suitable
for storage: max. 3 month (beyond = lesser hardness i.e.
the pad becomes softer)
Deliverable in hardness (Shore-A):
6, 12, 18 |
Silicone
material 01
Art. Code 05 = yellow silicone
Antistatic: good
Mechanical capacity: good
Main use: suitable for special applications only
Swelling behaviour: good
Suitable for storage: max. 3 month (beyond = lesser
hardness i.e. the pad is softer)
Deliverable in hardness (Shore-A): 1, 3, 6,

| Silicone material |
Antistatic properties |
Mechanical capacity: |
| The quality of the silicone material
from which the pads are made, determines the various properties
of the pads. |
The antistatic properties show how
well the silicone material is resistant to electrostatic charge.
Anti static pads can eliminate smudgy ink or ink pulling strands.
|
The pad can break down during
rolling over sharp edges. Depending on the silicone material
this can happen sooner or later. Swelling behaviour during storage:
Please see crash test. |
| Storing characteristics |
Swelling behaviour |
Super-dry
version "ST" |
| Storing characteristics show a period of time
after which a reduction of hardness (Shore-A) occurs and the
surface of the pad becomes brittle. |
The swelling behaviour depends on the ink type
or thinner type being used. All pad materials are subjected
to swelling because they absorb thinner.
TIP:
The lower the tendency is to swell, the better the transmission of
the print image.

Silicone oil is
encapsulated - no silicone oil on your printing part. Ideal for
coating removal via laser - after printing of lacquer by pad
printing. No problems with colour gradient when printing parts
are lacquered subsequently. Transfer of water-based emulsions/inks
in pad printing process possible. Almost residue-free pad
printing, (e.g. on electronic components). |
